About the Society and Mission Bradford Historical Society (BHS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to bring together people interested in history, especially that of Bradford, and to promote a better understanding of our town and our American heritage.
Bradford Historical Society is run entirely by volunteers and funded by membership fees and donations.
The society's major function will be to discover and collect any material which may help to establish or illustrate the history of Bradford and the area.
This society shall provide for the preservation and for its accessibility, as far as it may be feasible. It will cooperate with town officials in insuring the preservation of town records and archives and will undertake to preserve historic buildings, monuments and markers. The society will cooperate with the New Hampshire Historical Society to collect and preserve materials of statewide significance.
